Dr Maya Lloyd (M Clin Psych, Phd, FCCP, MAPS) is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience of working in both the private and public sector.
Maya treats individuals of all ages including children, adolescents, adults and families. Maya works across a broad range of conditions including depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD and other trauma related conditions, self harm and suicidal ideation, adjustment to lifestyle changes and grief and loss issues.
Maya specialises in women’s health, ante and postnatal depression and anxiety, infant mental health including attachment/bonding difficulties between parent and baby and child and youth mental health conditions including parenting, parent-child relationship difficulties and family therapy.
Maya practices a range of therapies which are tailored to suit the individual and which include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Family Therapy and Circle of Security (parenting approach based on attachment theory). Maya is also an endorsed supervisor and is accredited to supervise clinical registrars and those still completing their postgraduate qualifications.
