COVID-19 Vaccination Status Update for 2022:
With advice from the Department of Health, public health orders, and best practice recommendations, we have considered the vulnerability of our clinic populations, the risk of exposure, and our duty of care to both individual and public health.
We have decided that in order for in-person services to safely continue, all staff, clients, and visitors of Sheridan Psychologists must be fully vaccinated (at least 2 doses of an approved vaccine) for face-to-face appointments from 1st January 2022.
From 1st January 2022, we will require that all clients and visitors aged 16 years up provide evidence of their vaccination status via their Check In Qld app (for instructions, please visit www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld/digital-vaccination-certificate):
- This applies to every client and any person accompanying a client to their appointment (includes waiting room).
- This does not apply to anyone who cannot receive any of the COVID-19 vaccines due to a medical contraindication ā in this instance, your medical exemption certificate may also be displayed via your Check In Qld app.
- This does not apply to anyone aged under 12 years. Those aged 12-15 years are encouraged (but not required) to be vaccinated.
- Printouts, letters, screenshots, etc. will not be accepted as evidence of status.
For those who are not vaccinated or do not wish to disclose their vaccination status, we will discuss your options for telehealth services with us, or we will provide recommendations for alternative clinics, with a handover where appropriate.
Given this change, we will be providing an informed consent form for continuing in-person services in 2022.
Thank you,
Sheridan Psychologists

We Have Moved š Update, 2nd April 2020:
Kenmore Psychology is excited to announce that we have moved locations to a newly refurbished, warm, and welcoming space in Indooroopilly. The new space offers us much more room, with additional consult rooms, a larger reception area and waiting room, and free parking onsite.
Because we have moved out of Kenmore, we have also changed our clinic name to Sheridan Psychologists, in honour of our clinic founder and director Dr Judith Sheridan. Alongside Judith at the new space are her existing team of psychologists, Dr Maya Lloyd, Sophia Ford, and Cressida Brown, plus our amazing administration officer Helen!
We understand that change can be difficult, particularly after a year of uncertainty, however we are all here to support you through this change, and hope that you, like us, will fall in love with the new space and all that it has to offer us. We are working towards a smooth transition and hope that you have a positive experience of this change.
For those of you that this change represents a transport dilemma, we hope to assist you with this too. Luckily the new space is in very close proximity to Indooroopilly train station and many bus routes servicing the Indooroopilly and St. Lucia areas. Parking will also never be a problem again, with car parks located directly behind the clinic, down our private driveway.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sheridan Psychologists, and we thank you in advance for your understanding, and for all your support over the years. In preparing for your next booked appointment, or booking future appointments, we will assist you in ensuring you have all the necessary information for our new location, and answer any of your questions.

COVID-19 Update, 3rd July 2020:
We all need to be mindful of our mental health during this time of uncertainty, sudden changes, and unexpected flow-on effects.
For the safety of you, our clients, and of our practitioners, and to all of our families, we have been given the opportunity to continue providing mental health care by the Australian Government, using telehealth.
Given the changes in circumstances we are now offering face-to-face appointments again. We will still be offering telehealth and telephone consults for those who are not comfortable coming into the office. We ask that if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms you conduct your appointment via one of the remote options. As health professionals, we will continue to do our best to provide high quality, evidence-based psychological services.
We hope to be able to continue supporting you through this situation, and most importantly: stay safe.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Judith Sheridan, Director
